Equis is a San Jose artist who survived a near-fatal birth, childhood trauma, and a divorce that sent him into suicidal depression. He left music for seven years to be a father, then returned with a new name, a deeper voice, and a wider palette—blending Latin roots, rap, and raw storytelling. This conversation is about pain, purpose, fatherhood, and why real stories matter more than flexes.
